Ty Mawr Farm is a 140 acre, family run, working sheep farm with the River Usk running through it's grounds.
With lots of history steeped in the farm itself, it has primarily been used for farming. However, more recently, the
extensive out-buildings have been the focus of some adventurous thinking to move the business towards accommodating
visitors to the area. Surrounded by breathtaking scenery, Ty Mawr Farm is central to access to the Brecon Beacons as well
as countless activities within the immediate and surrounding areas.
Both Cottages will have the ability to accomodate up to 4 people with private parking available. Set at the entrance of
the Brecon Beacons in South Wales, the cottages based in Gilwern are situated within reach of a huge range of activities
such as the Monmouthshire & Brecon Canal, the Abergavenny Food Festival, walking & cycling routes as well as links to many
other adventurous and historical sites.
The cottages that are now open are completed to a very high quality and we hope that everything that you would require on a
short or medium term break is provided. Feel free to browse through the site and view the photos of the cottages and read
the information about the history of the farm, as wll as everything that is within walking distance or a short drive.
We at Ty Mawr Farm look forward to hearing from you and making your stay here in South Wales a memorable one.
